Why? I don't know. It's a Zil ZIS-101 Sport ('39), and from what I've been able to find, perhaps two were made. As a Zil, it's on a limo frame, presumably entirely handmade, and unless Pravda et al are to be believed, probably only capable of about 100mph.

Nice looking thing. There are a few nice looking old Soviet cars, pretty sure they're all absolutely awful to drive though.
